Valentine Savings Tips for Dummies during recession

Dear Sweetheart:

I am writing you a simple note to say "I Love You" and "Be My Valentine" in this tough economic times.

Yes dear the roses are gone, the chocolates, red wine, dinner tonight or even the dangling 1 carat diamond.

As you know this is the first valentine we are sleeping in our car, who knows perhaps still watch the moon become full?

Junior ask em what would I be giving mommy tonight and I simply told him a kiss.

While reading the dummies book, I got affordable savings tips for tonight.

How about if we did open a can of tuna on the pantry with some crackers for appetizer?

Then perhaps share the bottle of seven-up pretending it could be champagne. Then comes the the hotdog or pizza as main course. We can follow up with some mint candies or even the fortune cookies we got last week from the chinese restaurant.

But most of all, perhaps we can just use a daylight or night light so we can save electricity and at the same time feel romantic tonight.

Of course the next things we can do still even if we are unemeployed and jobless.

At least we have our family, our faith, our hope and we are together. Who knows just maybe we will get the stimulus check before we run out of gas.

By the way, don't forget to put a little oil before our transmission dies.

However, it will be a great valentine's day still as we are together.

Happy Valentines Day!
